Skin Deep: Miss Brazil Universe 2009

I was compelled to write this analysis since there are so many stunners this year.

Miss Ceara Khrisley Karlen- She is modelesque and beautiful. Everything Miss Universe wants. Not the best face relatively speaking of course but defnititely a complete package.

Miss Minas Gerais Rayanne Morais- She is my bet for one of the big crowns. Her beauty will not go unnoticed internationally.

Rio de Janeiro Fernanda Gomes- This girl is in my top three. I think she is the most gorgeous girl this year even with tough competition from Brooke Shields/Ingrid Rivera lookalike Miss Minas Gerais Rayanne Morais and has the most beautiful eyes, even more so than Miss Goias. I just love this girl.

Miss Amapa Enyellen Sales- I think she looks like a doll but she should put on less makeup because it makes her look dated. Just for her gorgeous face in pictures as well as in her videos I wish to see her place very high. I don't think she will though.

Miss Paraiba Flora Meira- Beautiful face, stunning smile etc. Flora is one of the beautiful ones at this year's Miss Brazil Universe pageant. Semifinalist yes. Miss Universe or Miss International? Not for me but let's see how she fares on May 9.

Miss Distrito Federal Denise Ribeiro- I think she has it all but she isn't the prettiest of the bunch. Very polished, modelesque and very deserving of a semi finalist position.

Miss Parana Karin Martins de Souza- She has it all to be a...semifinalist. I love her but there are more deserving candidates for the top crowns.

Miss Para Rayana Breda- I stumbled across these pictures today and was surprised at the difference in her face then and now. Is it just weight gain? She was much more pageant patty before so it is definitely not plastic surgery. In any case, I hope she doesn't win a crown but she deserves a placement for her beautiful smile and her vivaciousness.

Miss Bahia- Paloma Vega- I love Miss Bahia. Her nose is distracting but she is still very alluring with her natural looks. I don't think she is making a big effort at Miss Brazil Universe 2009 but there is something very attractive about her that makes me wish she places. I don't think she will though. She is one of my sentimental favorites.

Miss Santa Catarina Francine Arruda. This is one girl who is polished, photogenic and has a nice body but I just don't like her. She is awkward in her videos and is not very videogenic. Is she likely to be in the semifinals? I'm 100% positive she will be. Is that going to make me happy? Not at all.

Miss Mato grosso Do Sol Pilar Velasquez- I like her. She is pretty but I don't want her as the winner because she lacks the spark that the others have. She is not the prettiest but she is very polished so lets see how far she goes. So far, I have her in my semifinals list only.

These are the ones I don't like. I think that it is self explanatory why I don't like them as this is a beauty pageant!

Miss Acre 2009 Elkar Portela- The second picture is from a pageant she took part in last year and she really hasn't changed at all if you judge her from her candids and not airbrushed pictures.

Miss Alagoas Kamila Brandao- The best in Alagoas? I think not.

Miss Amazonas Cecilia Stadler- This is a girl who disappointed me after the photoshopped pictures that were circulated on the internet.

Bruna Grabriele Felisberto Miss Rio Grande do Sol 2009- Awfully plastic. At first glance her new nose and her new cheekbones look attractive but on closer look she disappoints. I singled her out because of her obvious surgeries but also because I have a strange feeling that she will place high on final night :(

Miss Espirito Santo Bianca Lopes- BOrinnng

Miss Goias Anielly Campos - The only good thing about her is her eyes. Reminds me of a grandma.

Miss Maranhao Thais Portela- No matter how many times I see her I forget what she looks like instantly.

Miss Mato Grosso Monica Huppes- Too manly for my taste.

At this point I am too bored to write anything about these contestants. Nothing noteworthy about them. Sao Paulo is such a disappointment.

Miss Rio Grande do Norte- This girl fooled me with her modeling pictures. She can look good on the runway but her face is not that of a beauty queen's. Only 25, she looks much much older than her age.
